Symptoms of a failing CV axle may be in the form of a knocking sound as the vehicle turns a corner either left or right. When such noises develop, it should be checked out as soon as possible. A failed CV axle or clutch can render a vehicle inoperable and can also be a hazard or danger to occupants or other vehicles on the highway.
