Yesterday, I went back to the shop and saw Ralph working on a different car he saw me, and he approached me to show me what he was doing on the car. I then said to him again, didn't I ask you to give me back my money and the car? At this point, Ralph started screaming and yelling in a loud voice at me and I quote "I don't care and that is not going to happen, you're getting nothing back and I ask my friend who take me there that we should leave. -

He told me to come by to the shop and that’s where I met his Dad, Ralph. He showed me around and explained the process. He’s got a lot of ATSG (Automatic Transmission Service Group - is transmission industry’s leading authority on technical support and repair information) certifications too. This reassured me to get a rebuilt transmission and installed by them. Dropped the van off and got it back a day later. Painless and smooth. Now the van is back to service and shifts smoothly. I took my Toyota RAV 4 to this shop because it had a transmission problem. The lead mechanic(the Guyanese guy) rebuilt it, and guaranteed me, that it will last for another 200k KM, and they charged me $3,800.Two days after, he fixed it, … More the engine sign came up and i brought it back to him. He fixed it but the engine sign persisted and I brought it back to the shop at least five times, although the car drives but engine persists.However, the transmission finally broke down after six months, bringing it back to Powershift.They told me that, I was out of warranty, and that their parts vendor only guaranteed 39,000k, which is on contrary, to one year warranty on their receipt.They requested that I pay them $2,800 to rebuild it again after I had paid them $3,800, which was the initial charge.I had to move my car from their workshop, and decided to park it.I feel that this business is dishonesty, and it lacks transparency in their dealing, and the people who run it, do not have integrity.Please do not fall a victim, when they ask to rebuild your transmission(it's all NONSENSE), just buy a replacement transmission and look for a credential shop to replace it.

While the car was in for transmission work, they noticed the power steering lines needed replacing. I agreed to have the work done.They replaced my factory metal lines with cheap, low-pressure rubber hydraulic hoses and damaged my connectors … More when installing this hack job. They attached the hoses to the front suspension WITH ZIP TIES to keep them from sagging! The power steering whined and was stiff after I got the car back, neither of which was a problem that existed before.I had a another mechanic inspect their work and the mechanic said the lines needed to be redone. They were the wrong material and poorly installed. I called Powershift and they said that the lines were fine and they would work. It was only after threatening a civil suit that they agreed to fix the problem and install proper lines.Powershift worked on the car further but didn't replace the hoses with proper power steering lines. The power steering still whined and leaked.STAY AWAY from this shop. They are dishonest and will try to trick customers by installing cheap, substandard parts while charging full price.----EDIT after owner response:"We only charged him for the material used as a courtesy" Seriously? Then why did they charge the same amount to do this substandard job as I was quoted by another shop to do the job properly, including labour and materials? I did NOT get some kind of discount here."he agreed for us to use heavy duty hydraulic hose" No, I agreed that they could do the work using materials that they claimed would be just as good as regular power steering hose. What I got was a botched job using substandard materials that damaged my other parts and needed to be redone. The customer trusts you to know what you're talking about and do a good job. Earn that trust.

This shop does not even deserve the one star! I sent in a vehicle to have the transmission worked on.The transmission was slipping. I dropped it off in October 2015. I was told my vehicle was ready and I went to pick it up in December 2015. … More I paid him in full. I went down the block with it and realized it was still giving the same problem. I brought it back to him.I did not get the vehicle back from him until the spring. When I did get it back, it was still giving the same problem. I took it to Mitsubishi to get it diagnosed. They said that it was an issue with the transmission. I contacted Ralph again and told him that I wanted my money back. He put me in contact with Sharif. Sharif explained that it was still under warranty and to let them exercise that warranty first. I agreed to giving them one more chance, but they needed to pick up the vehicle from me.Every week after that, I could not get an answer back. Every time my wife or I spoke with Sharif, he would tell us that he needs to send it out for diagnosis. He kept telling us it was the rear differential. After a few months of going back and forth with him, I finally got fed up and I asked for my vehicle back as well as a refund since there was clearly nothing done. At that point, Ralph responded saying that he would have to take the transmission out of the vehicle because he had replaced it originally. My wife asked who authorized the transmission swap originally and if that was really the case, then they put a faulty transmission in the vehicle.I had to go pick up the vehicle myself and had to get it towed back to my place at my own expense. When I arrived there, Sharif informed me that a Mitsubishi rep had been there to diagnose the vehicle and handed me a lined paper with handwritten notes, claiming that was the diagnosis from the Mitsubishi rep. Based on my experience, I would never recommend this shop to anyone.

I needed a differential looked at that I bought used. A m5 e39 diff to be precise. I dropped it off on a saturday and the guy said he will look at it Tuesday, since Monday was a holiday. I call in afternoon, 'no no the guy will look at it in the evening'. I call in the evening. Oh sorry he will look at it trm. Each time the guy said he will call me when its done. Never did in the end or any other time, even to inform of the delays.Meanwhile I'm driving around with a 540 diff that's grinding itself slowly to death wondering if I should forget the m5 diff upgrade. Well finally the guy gets a look at it and hits me with some ridiculous quotes.So when my schedule finally synced up a week later for me to pick it up. The 'guy' a real stereotypical fat indian salesman, is completely rude. Says im lucky he didn't throw it in the garbage. And even told the other guy offering to help me move the diff to my car, not to because he didn't make a dime on it. Like seriously.
